You’re not done.

The “3rd Act” can mean different things to different people.

For some it’s a well-deserved life of leisure in retirement. While for others, there are new businesses to build and dragons to slay.

But there is a special breed of former business owner or C-level leader who longs to stay relevant and significant — even after they have stepped away. Perhaps they are unsure of what’s next, but they know they’re not done yet. There are things to learn, problems to be solved, relationships to nurture and legacy to build. These are our people.

Have you stepped away from the day-to-day operations of your business, but still have fuel in the tank? Let’s talk about what’s now. Let’s talk about what’s next.

Who do you have in your business or life who is wise enough to challenge your perceptions and bolster your ideas?

Who are those colleagues who have also earned a lifetime of wisdom and understands where you’ve been —because they’ve been there too?

Who will be by your side for the tough decisions that you may face, but can also embark along with you on the great adventures yet to come?

Who is your sounding board? Who is your 3rd Act tribe?

We are building communities of former company leaders in cities across America.

Our Legacy Board communities are comprised of intentional, heart-led former top-level leaders who are not yet done contributing. We don’t recruit. Instead, we evaluate prospects for fit, wisdom and commitment to their personal and professional legacy as well as their families and community.

We are not a networking group!

We are colleagues traveling our own unique

later-stage paths — together.

Who we are. What we believe. The Legacy Board Cultural Norms:

We are invested in each other’s success, fulfillment and legacy — however they define it.

We are lifelong learners. We are readers, listeners and travelers who endeavor to stay current and seek new experiences.

We are committed to demonstrating moral and ethical leadership We do the right thing for the right reasons and hold each other accountable to do the same.

We are generous mentors. We believe that when you have been afforded a strong measure of success, it is important to send the elevator back down.

We prioritize compassionate candor as a board. We say what we mean, and mean what we say without being mean when we say it.

We recognize that we are social creatures and embrace the importance of friendship, conversation and camaraderie.

We prioritize our physical and mental health. We challenge each other intellectually and encourage physical fitness.

We celebrate our humanity and create a powerful space that honors vulnerability, humility and fulfillment.

We are committed to being loving and present spouses, parents, grandparents and partners. We believe that any definition of success at the expense of our personal relationships, is failure.
